Ear Gear, hearing instrument armor, is a water resistant double wall spandex nylon sleeve that protects hearing instruments from dirt , sweat, moisture and loss. Ear Gear was invented by the parent of a special needs child was constantly losing her valuable Digital BTE’s.
Initially, Ear Gear was considered to be a pediatric product , however it became clear that adults had a great need for Ear Gear as well; now over 50% of our sales are to adults who wish to protect their valuable hearing instruments from dirt, sweat, moisture and loss. The soft spandex material also can make hearing instruments more comfortable to wear and protect the ears from chafing.
Ear Gear also minimizes the effect of wind noise.
Ear Gear is manufactured in sizes to fit all types of hearing aids, and hearing instruments, from ITE, to Cochlear, Baha, and BTE hearing aids from the very small RIC to large hearing aids with 675 batteries and FM attachments. We also have models of Ear Gear for combined usage with hearing instruments and glasses. Most models of Ear Gear are available in 8 fashionable colors: Royal Blue, Black, Brown, Beige, Camouflage, Lipstick Pink, Orange/ Red pattern/ and Grey.
Ear Gear is acoustically transparent, and has no effect on directionality. Ear Gear is great for use during sports running , biking, anyone who has an active lifestyle.
